Matthew Plummer, Jr., D.M.D., M.P.H., Vice-Chairman

Dr. Matthew W. Plummer, Jr. holds a Doctor of Medical Dentistry Degree from The Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated Cum Laude.   He also holds a Master's Degree in Public Health Administration from The Harvard School of Public Health.  Dr. Plummer has operated a private dental practice in Houston for the past 40 years.  He serves as Vice-Chairman of the Harris County Hospital District (HCHD) Foundation Board of Trustees and chairs the HCHD Foundation Nominating Committee.

In addition to his private practice, Dr. Plummer serves as Professor and Chief of Community Dentistry for Harris Health System. He also serves as a Board member for other Houston health-related community organizations. Dr. Plummer sits on the Board of Directors for Prosperity Bank and the Debakey High School for Health Professions.  Dr. Plummer formerly served as a member of the Executive Committee for the Houston Branch of the NAACP, YMCA South Central Branch and the Academy of Dentistry for the Handicapped.
